Choosing Simulator/Directory/Host Form
Simulator identifies the simulator you are going to use. The list box contains the names of
all available simulators, depending on the licenses you have purchased. Your choice of
simulators affects which menu commands are in the window and which options appear on
forms.
Project Directory is the directory where simulation results are stored. The default is the
simulation
directory in your home directory.
Host Mode
s
local specifies that the simulator is to be run on the local machine.
s
remote specifies that the simulator is to be run on a remote machine.
Host specifies the machine on which the simulator is to be run. You can use this field only if
the host mode is remote.
Remote Directory specifies where the simulator stores the simulation results. This field is
used only if the Host Mode is remote. The directory identified in Project Directory (specifying
the path from the local machine) must be the same directory as the Remote Directory
(specifying the path from the remote machine). The system verifies this at startup.
To accept the default values in the Simulation Startup form, click OK.
Create Partition Configuration Form
Library is the name of the library where the design is located. You cannot edit this field.
Cell is the cell name for the current design. You cannot edit this field.
View is the view name for the current design. You cannot edit this field.
Partition Configuration Name specifies the name you want to save the configuration
under.
