CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION SYSTEM(CCTVS)
A.
System Description
1. General
a. The CCTVS shall consist of digital video recorders (DVR) and CCTV cameras.
b. The CCTVS shall provide for color digital recording and local and remote monitoring of
CCTV cameras.
c. Video Standards
1)
The CCTVS shall be compatible with local NTSC video broadcast standards.
2)
Adjust all cameras to produce 1.0-volt peak to peak video, 0.4 volt negative sync with
no blooming, streaking or noticeable lag.
3)
When displayed, the video signals shall be uniform and consistent in quality.
4)
Utilize looping video outputs or provide distribution amplifiers to distribute a single
video signal to multiple video devices.
5)
Provide video line equalization and/or distribution amplifiers as required to
compensate for long cable runs and to ensure 1.0-volt peak to peak video signals to
all monitoring locations. Provide power supplies as required.
6)
Provide ground isolation transformers as required to eliminate humbars and ground
loops.
7)
Where amplifiers and/or transformers are required, submit locations for review and
acceptance and identify locations on the record drawings.
B.
Equipment Requirements
1. DVR
a. Provide American Dynamics Intellex Ultra 16-channel DVRs with 1.5 TB storage.
b. Provide rack mount 1U monitor/keyboard/track ball drawer with 19 inch LCD monitor for
display and programming, keyboard, track ball, and integrated four-port KVM switch.
Provide additional KVM ports as required plus two spare ports if Work includes more than
two DVRs.
c. Distribute cameras evenly between multiple DVRs where applicable.
d. Configure the DVR as follows:
1)
Frame rate 60 frames per second (fps) normal recording; 120 fps alarm recording.
