User Interface Selection
User interfaces (keypads, dimmers, switches, and touchpanels) provide the link between the
control devices in the enclosure and the user. Typically these interfaces are prominently and
strategically located throughout a lighting design.
The lighting designer and/or integration contractor specifies the type of user interface required for
each location, based on function and user preference.
Keypads, touchpanels, dimmers and switches are available in a wide variety of choices, including
number of buttons, color of trim, color of the buttons, back lighting and even custom engraving on
each button.
The entire line of award-winning Crestron touchpanels can be used to enhance and simplify the
most demanding design.
Aesthetic Considerations
The interfaces, the part of the system that your client sees and uses every day, must be both
functional and attractive. Crestron offers a wide variety of types and styles to suit the needs and
tastes of your client.
CNX Designer Series Keypads
are an elegant option for any décor. Extra large backlit
buttons offer room for custom engraving. They also play door chimes, voice prompts, button
clicks and other audible feedback. Refer to page 62.
C2N-CBD and C2N-CBF Series Cameo Keypads
answer the need for a diverse selection of
designer colors, and goes a step farther by dramatically reducing the standard keypad wall plate
size without comprising button size. Mounting options include a choice of standard installation in
a Decora
®
style faceplate or using the Crestron exclusive flush-mounting system. Cameo is offered
in 10 designer colors, plus three standard colors. A complete set of buttons and blanks in three
sizes is included. The installer can customize and configure up to six buttons for 18 functions in
total. Refer to page 63.
C2N-DB Decorator Series Keypads
bring a contemporary shaped-design to traditionally flat
faceplates. They are available in a wide selection of finishes and offer extra large backlit buttons
for custom engraving. They also play door chimes, voice prompts, button clicks and other audible
feedback. These keypads use readily available Decora
®
style faceplates. Refer to page 68.
NOTE:
Due to the variety of touchpanels, dimmers, switches and keypads, specifications for
each type are not provided as part of this guide. Instead, obtain the latest copy of the individual
operation guide from the Crestron website: www.crestron.com
