D.1. ABCD, Z, AND Y PARAMETERS
ABCD and Z parameters are defined in this appendix, however, they are not derived, and a
minimal explanation is presented. If the reader wishes to understand the nature of these
conversions, any microwave systems textbook may be consulted. Although the full
explanation of these relationships is beyond the scope of this book, they are presented here
because thy can be extremely useful for extracting electrical parameters from vector network
analyzer (VNA) measurements.
