The telephony components of the BCM perform call processing and connect public switched telephone
network (PSTN) lines to BCM telephones. Customers don't need to purchase additional routers,
applications servers, or voice mail servers to handle the traffic. The increased TDM station capacity allows
for increased analog station capacity as well as IP digital station capacity. The BCM provides a smooth
migration path to the IP-enabled networks of the future.
The call center applications available on the BCM increase customer support and take advantage of the
reach of the Internet. The applications support CTI and Unified Messaging handles multimedia messages
voicemail, email and faxes. These messaging capabilities make sure that employers never miss a customer
call.
The data networking components connect the BCM to the LAN and WAN. The Internet connects co-
workers so that they can share files and emails to exchange information. Universal Internet access for all
users includes access to corporate intranets and support for the VPN and remote connectivity. The BCM
supports VoIP trunks, enabling multisite customers to deploy private networks. Access is totally secure,
even from a remote PC, due to the support of IPSec Client Termination and Branch Office Mode
connections.
