The Bureau of Study Council offers students help with some common academic problems. There are
workshops available about reading, writing, procrastinating, time management, and other academic
issues. The Bureau also offers individual counseling, both academic and personal, as well as peer tutor-
ing, and other services.
The Writing Center

495-1655
Students can make an appointment at the Writing Center to meet with an undergraduate tutor about a
particular paper. The tutor will discuss the basic elements of the essay--clarity, organization, style, etc.
The student will not get any specific psychology-related writing advice there, but it can be helpful for
some of the more fundamental writing skills.

writing and plagiarism.
Bok Center

The Bok Center is a resource primarily for the teacher. It offers teaching workshops, individual coach-
ing, the opportunity to videotape a session and discuss it with a teaching expert, and the Graduate
Writing Fellow workshop on teaching writing, among other services. The Bok Center is located in the
Science Center.
